Christian counseling is a type of therapy that integrates traditional talk therapy methodologies with Christian belief practices by incorporating theological concepts. It focuses on the navigation of spiritual concerns and everyday life struggles encountered by Christians.

A pastor inhabits various roles— teacher, preacher, youth leader, and counselor. As your pastoral counselor, I utilize resources such as prayer, biblical study, and life application to help people seek assistance with personal, family, marital, and faith matters. As a pastor for over 30 years, I’ve seen the lowest points of life. I have witnessed many recoveries from drug abuse, divorce, family conflict, grief/loss, depression/anxiety, relationships, and church conflict as I counseled them through their journey. Enrichment couple and premarital sessions are essential to setting a firm foundation to Godly marriage. It is vital to remember that love, forgiveness, hope, and redemption are available to you. My office is a safe confidential space to reflect, question, consider, and feel. My practical life and biblical application approach will help you overcome:

  • Drug Addiction: by understanding the complex factors influencing drug use and tailoring a plan to eliminate those factors

  • Grief and Bereavement: by providing social, emotional, and spiritual           support to guide you through your healing journey. The care will honor the dignity, respect, and uniqueness of each individual. The session will help the individual distinguish between grief and trauma. We confidently believe to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Cor. 5:8

  • Depression and Anxiety: by helping to identify negative thoughts and      behavior patterns. Create tailored made plans to assist with stress and manage symptoms of depression and anxiety.

  • Enrichment couple and premarital: by assisting with developing healthy communication styles, financial management, and setting household goals.

  • Church conflict: act as a mediator to assist in resolving conflict. Matthew 18:15-17 gives clear direction on how to handle conflict with your “brother”.

The Session

During our sessions we will dig into your presenting concerns, as well as your history and background. These sessions will include discussions about your current symptoms or struggles, as well as your relationships, your interests, your strengths, and your goals.
